Gangs brawl outside Southbank nightclub

TWO Asian gangs were involved in a violent brawl at Southbank early today.
Police say weapons including knuckledusters, bottles and iron bars were used in the clash outside a nightclub at Riverside Quay at 3am.DID YOU SEE THE BRAWL? CALL 9292 2963 OR EMAIL SUNDAYHS@HERALDSUN.COM.AUThe fight spilled onto Southank Promenade, where an innocent bystander was attacked by the group.When police arrived, they used capsicum foam to break up the fight.A 22-year-old man from Brunswick and a 19-year-old man from Hallam were taken to hospital suffering serious injuries.Police have arrested a 23-year-old man from Ardeer who was interviewed and released pending further inquiries.
